Laboratory Carbonization and Heat Treatment

The CX-CF-Lab vertical, top-loading furnace uses graphite resistance heating for carbon-material research. The graphite hot zone supports compatible carbonization and heat-treatment work under vacuum or inert gas, subject to the material and process requirements.

Typical applications

  • Carbon fiber, carbon blocks, carbon paper and carbon cloth
  • PI-based graphite film and other compatible carbon materials
  • Selected ceramic processes suitable for a graphite hot zone after technical review

Equipment configuration

  • Automatic and manual operation with programmable temperature control
  • Hydraulic chamber-lid lift and water-cooled construction
  • Temperature, pressure, gas, water and power protection functions
  • Optional chiller, graphite container, fine-vacuum package and filter
